About Us

Hello my name is Rose Powell.  I am 15 years old.  I am in the 10th grade at Montclair High School in Montclair, NJ.  A few years ago, I formed Rose & Co. Candlemakers with my dad. 

My dad and I started making candles at home because of his allergies to the many toxins in paraffin wax candles.  We made extra and gave some as a welcome present to our new neighbors.  The candles were so popular, that I decided to have a candle sale at our house and then I moved the business to pop-up markets, artisan fairs and a website!  I like to sell my candles to share my candle making talents with my community and bring people together.  And I donate part of our profits to support girls’ education through charities like the Girls Opportunity Alliance and the Malala Fund.

At Rose & Co. Candlemakers, we make handmade, natural, soy and coconut wax, eco wick, wonderful smelling, dye-free candles.  I hope they will bring a smile to your face!!
